The question of responsibility is at the heart of Jewish life, and the heart of higher education. In the 21st century, our colleges and universities are asking, How can we educate a generation of citizens who will take responsibility for their communities, their nations, and the world? Using Hillel’s Ask Big Questions conversation model, participants will learn with inspiring, change-making leaders, who are pioneering educational models that nurture a sense of global responsibility rooted in a commitment to one’s history and tradition.

Join us for:

  • A discussion on inspiring a university community towards action after Hurricane Katrina by Tulane University President Scott Cowen
  • A preview of the film “Of Many,” produced by Chelsea Clinton, featured at the Tribeca Film Festival and starring Hillel Rabbi Yehuda Sarna and NYU’s Imam Khalid Latif.
  • A panel discussion on the university and interfaith understanding and cooperation, featuring Eboo Patel, Founder and President of Interfaith Youth Core and Yvette Jones, VP of Tulane University
  • Reflective, engaging conversations using Hillel’s award-winning Ask Big Questions methodology
