Mission Statement:
Founded by Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, ALEPH is a transdenominational organization dedicated to the advancement of vital, engaged, and spiritually meangingful Judaism. ALEPH sponsors conference, seminars, and retreats: publishes a quarterly journal. New Menorah; and is home to a variety of programs, including The Shalom Center, the Network of Jewish Renewal Communities, The Jewish Life Renewal Center, The Spiritual Eldering Institute, Elat Chayyim, a summer and holiday retreat center, and a Professional Development Program leading to private smicha (rabbinic ordination).
