Mission Statement:
AMITIM ("Colleagues") is an Israel-Diaspora Service Project, sponsored by teh Jewish Agency, which provides a hands-on opportunity for young Americans and Israelis (Ages 21-27) to serve Jewish communities abroad through community empowerment and education. AMITIM participants will first travel to Israel for a month of training with their Israeli colleagues before going to teh Former Soviet Union or possible to one of our new locations, for their 8 months of service. All program expenses are paid for, and participants receive generous monthly stipend, in addition to returning with valuable skills and International experience that will enhance any resume or graduate school application. AMITIM seeks college graduates with significant leadership skills whoare independent, innovative, flexible, and comfortable with working as part of a team. The program starts mid-late August.
