Mission Statement:
Baltimore Hebrew University is the premier academic institution of higher learning in Maryland devoted solely to all aspects of Judaic and Hebraic studies. The mission of the University is to provide students with the broadest understanding of the civilization of the Jews through programs leading to bachelor, master and doctoral degrees in Jewish Studies, the Master of Arts degree in Jewish Education (MAJE), and the Master of Arts degree in Jewish Communal Service (MAJCS); to train professionals in all fields of Jewish communal service; to offer courses for students choosing study for its own sake; and to provide services to the general community such as the Joseph Meyerhoff Library, lectures, academic retreats, conferences, and other activities.
