Everett Public Service Internship Program |
Mission Statement:
The Everett Program serves two goals. First, it encourages students' future involvement in public service by acquainting them with the challenges and rewards of public interest work. Second, it provides the public interest community, which too often functions on limited resources, with the dedication, energy, and idealism that interns bring to their work. With these objectives in mind, Henry and Edith Everett established their Everett Public Service Internship Program in 1989. Since then, nearly two thousand students from communities across the country have discovered the immense satisfaction of contributing to society, while acquiring significant career development opportunities. Co-op America, a national nonprofit organization founded in 1982, provides the economic strategies, organizing power and practical tools for businesses and individuals to address today's social and environmental problems. While many environmental organizations choose to fight important political and legal battles, Co-op America is the leading force in educating and empowering our nation's people and businesses to make significant improvements through the economic system. Internship application information is available on their web site.
