The Steinhardt Foundation for Jewish Life |
Mission Statement:
The Jewish Life Network, a Judy and Michael Steinhardt Foundation, seeks to revitalize Jewish identity through educational, religious and cultural initiatives designed to reach out to all Jews with an emphasis on those who are on the margins of Jewish life. In designing its program, JLN favors imaginative breakthroughs, new strategies and articulating Judaism in contemporary terms. This means supporting new programs and underwriting new institutions that could meaningfully change the community’s capacity for reaching groups who are not strongly connected to Jewish life. The basic pillars of Jewish identity formation should consist of; day school education, Jewish camping, youth groups and college movements, experiences in Israel, intensive adult learning and service. JLN supports and creates projects that will help build infrastructure.
