Mission Statement:
Dual-degree program is designed to prepare students for professional leadership careers in the Jewish community. It entails concurrent attendance at both schools and the awarding of an M.A. in Jewish Studies from the Graduate School of JTS and an M.S. in Social Work from Columbia University School of Social Work. Students in the Dual Degree Program who have a strong interest in informal Jewish education may also apply for enrollment in the program which leads to teacher certification for non-education majors.
