Mission Statement:
MERCAZ USA is the Zionist organization, representing all arms of the Conservative Movement within the World Zionist Organization and the Jewish Agency for Israel. As the voice of the Conservative Movement within the international forums of the Jewish people, MERCAZ works to increase the impact and influence of Conservative Judaism on Israeli society and acts as a force for supporting religious pluralism and securing equality of funding and opportunities for Masorti rabbis and institutions. At the same time, in the Diaspora, MERCAZ promotes Zionist education and activities and the study of the Hebrew language and provides stipends and scholarships for short and long term visits to Israel. MERCAZ is a grassroots organization supported by individual and family memberships. A special student membership rate is available.
