Mission Statement:
She'arim offers full and part-time programs on four levels. "Taste of Torah" our introductory program, is designed for women with a strong interest and curiosity about their Jewish heritage who do not necessarily have experience in Jewish study. Courses cover fundamental concepts in Jewish philosophy and law, the holidays, and an introduction to textual study. Shiur Aleph, the beginner level, is suited to students who have a positive identification with Judaism, who are basically committed to Shabbat and Kashrut observance and who are ready to move towards a serious commitment to Torah. Shiur Bet, the intermediate level, is appropriate for students who wish to develop their learning skills and broaden their philosophical knowledge. Shiur Gimmel offers advanced students the opportunity to deepen their skills while being exposed to challenging, new levels of learning. Shearim's programs are offered throughout the year. Come for your mid-winter break or a summer vacation, or take time off and learn with us for a year!
