Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity |
Mission Statement:
Sigma Alpha Mu was founded in 1909 at the College of the City of New York as a fraternity of Jewish men. The mission of Sigma Alpha Mu is to guide each undergraduate member toward a more meaningful life, to prepare members for responsible fraternity and community involvement, and to create social and service opportunities for its alumni. As a historically Jewish fraternity, Sigma Alpha Mu aims to provide a Jewish fraternal experience for our undergraduates. Sigma Alpha Mu has begun a movement in the USA and Canada to cosponsor events with campus Hillels in order to forge working partnerships between SAMMY chapters and their respective Hillel. These campus partnerships further our desire to enhance the Jewish experiences of our undergraduate members.
