Mission Statement:
SCALE believes in increasing literacy for the transformation of individuals and society, as a vehicle for social justice. Increased literacy helps people to achieve their goals and empowers people to be more effective advocates both for themselves and their communities. SCALE offers training and technical assistance to college students working in the literacy field. SCALE works with both new and developing campus-based literacy groups, as well as existing organizations who wish to take their group to the next level. From ESL to child mentoring and adult literacy, SCALE provides the necessary support and resources to maintain a highly effective literacy program.
