Mission Statement:
Our mission is to provide substantial financial resources to enable world hunger to be cut in half by 2015 and to end by the end of the 21st century. We believe that by bringing together the power of grassroots organizing, faith communities, and the food manufacturers, this can be a reality. We intend to obtain no-cost commitments from huge numbers of consumers, representing billions of dollars of purchasing power, who will convince the food manufacturers to contribute 1% of revenues from their food products to anti hunger causes. WorldManna.org is establishing an Advisory Board that will determine how the funds are to be distributed. Students can become involved by assisting in accumulating the numbers of supporters needed by encouraging consumers to sign a petition on the WorldManna.org website, by identifying and reaching out to anti-hunger organizations, faith communities and government agencies to become partners with WorldManna.org, and to identify food corporations willing to participate in the program.
