Mission Statement:
The Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) is the oldest pro-Israel organization in the country. Founded in 1897 to help re-establish a Jewish State in the Land of Israel, the ZOA currently has local chapters throughout the United States, including on US college campuses. ZOA’s Campus Activism Network (CAN) offers ZOA college affiliate chapters and ZOA Student Representatives resources such as access to the ZOA National Speaker’s Bureau, and it provides students with an opportunity to participate in national pro-Israel advocacy workshops and ZOA Israel trips. The ZOA strengthens America-Israel relations through missions to Washington and to Israel for students, ZOA members and for policy-makers, conferences and seminars with leading scholars and members of Congress, publication and distribution of educational literature, and by combating the anti-Israel bias in the media, in textbooks, and at universities. The ZOA has spearheaded the campaign to bring Palestinian Arab murders of American citizens to justice, prevented the confirmation to high government office of nominees biased against Israel, and serves the public as a leading information resource.
