Media Relations
Many media reports on the rapidlychanging events in the Middle East have contained partial information,biases and inaccuracies. Hillel encourages students and professionalsto pro-actively speak up for Israel and to refute anti-Israel articles.

Whenever possible, please coordinate with your local Jewish Federation or Community Relations Council (CRC) if asked to speak to the general, non-campus media.

Yom Hazikaron and Yom Ha'atzmaut
Yom Ha'zikaron, the fourth of Iyar in the Hebrew calendar, we commemorate the soldiers who have fallen fighting for Israel's independence and defending its security.  Yom Ha'atzmaut, Israel Independence Day (Iyar 5) celebrates the state of Israel's establishment on May 14, 1948.
