Serving to Make a Difference
This year, JD and MBA students from around the world will have the opportunity to participate in Hillel's pilot Alternative Breaks in Israel, featuring two tracks (Law and Business). One bus will be for MBAs and one for JDs, featuring tailored itineraries, service work, education, and experiences designed to match academic, career, and professional aspirations. The 7 day trip will provide a comprehensive experience that includes meaningful service work, education, and opportunities to meet with Israeli industry leaders, policy makers, and experts.
- The MBA track will feature: Israeli entrepreneurs, business leaders, and activists
- The JD track will feature: Israeli politicians, lawyers and jurists.
The components of the trip are designed to give JD and MBA students the tools to both contribute substantively to related Israeli causes and further explore challenges and opportunities within Israeli / international law and business / economic contexts. Participants should be prepared to fully participate in both formal and experiential learning aspects of the trip. All delegations should be committed to actively follow-through on this Israel experience either through advocacy, service, education, or action back on campus or in the context of community and career pursuits.
How do I apply? In order to successfully complete the application, a minimum of 3 students and up to 5 students from the same JD or MBA program must each apply to form a requisite delegation to be accepted to the trip. Students currently enrolled in a JD or MBA program at an accredited university are eligible to apply.
Registration has closed. There are a limited number of additional spots available for MBA students. If you are still interested in registering, please email abigrad@hillel.org.
