Alternative Spring Breaks
Spring break has moved beyond the beach - 'alternative breaks' are now a major trend on college campuses. Over the past year, students from over 40Hillels have taken part in alternative breaks in El Salvador, Cuba, Argentina, Uruguay, Mexico, the Czech Republic, the Former Soviet Union and various sites throughout the United States. These Hillel alternative break programs were linked with creative learning programs that focused on the Jewish imperative of service to the community.

The Alternative Break Resource Guide contains information to make planning for your own alternative break trip smooth and complete. You'll find guide questions to get you started, text studies to use on the trip and materials to use in planning, fundraising and implementation.
