What is it?

The ICHEIC Service Corps, (ISC) is an initiative in its 2nd year developed by Hillel, sponsored by the International Commission on Holocaust Era Insurance Claims, and in partnership the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, Inc. Its goal is to enhance the lives of Nazi victims and Holocaust survivors, many of whom have little family or social networks, by college students committing to a year of weekly 1 hour friendly visits. In some schools, in conjunction with the visits, students can receive course credit by registering for a course offered on their campus. The program will offer opportunities for learning about the Holocaust, its impact on public life today and reflection on the experience of working with survivors.
