We don`t know how many Jewish students attend Roger Williams University,RWU, as we never ask for religious affiliation. However, the working guestimate is that about 19=0% of the student body is Jewish. Active in Hillel are about 25 students. They have monthly Shabbat dinners, attend High Holiday services at local syangogues, plan lectures, have fun at bowling and laser tag events, travel to Washington and New York City to go to Jewish cultural and historic venues. The University is developing a plan to enhance Jewish life on campus which may include study abroad in Israel. Already Hebrew is taught as is Jewish history. The University is considering re-establishing its Religious Studies minor which would mean revived courses in Judasim.
