Hillel is seeking exceptional college students for multiple internships at Hillel International’s headquarters office in Washington, DC:

Qualified candidates for all internships will possess the following characteristics:

$300 living stipend per week to help offset costs associated with this volunteer internship.

The Communications Intern will be a vital part of a small team, working to create and implement marketing, public relations, social media, and communications strategy for Hillel International.Responsibilities may include: blogging, research and fact checking to support story development, supporting marketing campaign efforts for Birthright Israel: Hillel trips, social media management and monitoring, web and/or graphic design support, and more.
Qualified applicants should be rising seniors or recent graduates, pursuing or in possession of a degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or other applicable fields. Understanding of the Hillel movement through active participation on campus preferred. Necessary skills include strong attention to detail, written storytelling, marketing and general communications, social media management, research and information gathering, multi-tasking and prioritizing, and fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Proficiency in Adobe Create Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and video editing or web design skills also a plus.

Digital Marketing Intern
As a member of Hillel International’s Digital and Direct Marketing department, you will be responsible for assisting with marketing and advertising efforts across a number of different platforms. Some tasks of this position include writing, designing, and sending email marketing communications, helping to develop advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, improving Hillel’s Jewish scholarships portal, designing and marketing Jewish holiday eCards, and creating new designs for products sold in Hillel’s online shops.
Qualified applicants should be comfortable using email and social media marketing platforms, have digital design experience using the Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and/or similar applications, and possess excellent writing skills.

Hillel Institute Summer Conference Interns
As a Summer Conference Intern at Hillel’s Schusterman International Center, you will work with key stakeholders at Hillel’s headquarters to plan, organize, and help facilitate Hillel’s premier summer training for all new professionals from across North America, Hillel Institute. Responsibilities include managing logistics and conference materials, coordinating aspects of the various trainings, communicating with conference participants, and attending one summer conference: Hillel Institute at The Rosen Plaza in Orlando July 14-19. There is the possibility that the intern will work on other smaller summer events/conferences that take place after Hillel Institute. We will be hiring one Summer Conference Intern. Qualified applicants should be excited to work with a small team of interns, willing to take initiative and able to multi-task. An interest or background in event planning is a plus.

Technology Services Intern
Internship Dates: June 15 through mid-August – exact dates are flexible
The Measurement Team, a branch of the Campus Success Pillar, is seeking an intern to assist with the daily operations of work. Our goal is to help build a data-informed culture across the Hillel movement by collecting, analyzing and making meaning of local Hillel data. Interns’ responsibilities may include data entry, data analysis, presentation & report design, customer service support, and other general administrative tasks. This is a unique opportunity to be involved with an exciting initiative that is fundamentally reshaping our movement and to have a lot of fun with the team that’s doing it!
Qualified applicants should either be currently enrolled in a college/university program or recent graduate, with an interest in non-profit management, business, statistics, strategic planning, performance management, organizational psychology or other applicable field. Necessary skills include strong attention to detail, good interpersonal and analytical skills as well as fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Experience with design and data visualization a plus!
Internship Dates: mid-to-late May through mid-August – exact dates are flexible
As a member of Hillel International's Global Leadership Department you will work and develop relationships with professionals and volunteer leaders at a nationally distinguished non-profit organization; learn about and contribute to all aspects of Hillel's fundraising process; be trained on and develop proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs, donor database systems; and develop customer service and donor relations experience.
Some tasks of this position include assisting with donor relations through phone, email and mail inquiries; processing and soliciting donations; making thank you calls; facilitating donor acknowledgements and billing processes; updating donor correspondence; researching prospects/donors; manage Google Alerts and newspaper clippings; tracking donor communications; helping with the planning, logistics, and follow-up with high-level receptions around the country; executing in-house mailings of letters, tribute cards; and general administrative and operational support, including filing, faxing, copying, data entry.
Qualified applicants should have experience in Microsoft Office, including Excel, excellent writing skills, and communications major, or similar, is a plus.
