Awarded to the student of any year who has written the best essay on International or Interracial Relations, as judged by the Chairpersons of the Departments of Political Science and Sociology.
Study for a one year semester of M.A Program at the Tel Aviv University Overseas program. There is also a new intensive 6 week summer school in rabbinic literature. Depends on financial need. All courses taught in English and may be eligible for full credit at home universities.

The William Ze'ev Brinner Fellowship for graduate students was established in the spring of 2014. Professor Brinner taught Arabic and Islamic studies in the Department of Near Eastern Studies at Berkeley from 1956 until his retirement in 1991, and served as Chair of the Department several times.
