The Gildenhorn-Winer Scholarship in Israel Studies

The Joseph and Alma Gildenhorn Institute for Israel Studies (GIIS) is grateful to Michael and Catherine Gildenhorn and Carol and Michael Winer for their generosity in creating an annual scholarship for an outstanding UMD student pursuing a minor in Israel studies. Paulson Leadership Award

The Paulson Leadership Award is designed to support the pursuit of higher education of Jewish students who demonstrate leadership, entrepreneurship, and/or volunteerism in their local or campus community. Applicants must have a current GPA of 2.5 or higher to qualify and the applicant’s parents/guardians must not have completed a four-year college or university degree. Eligible Colleges: Baruch College, Brooklyn College, College of Staten Island, Hunter College, John Jay College, Lehman College, Queens College, City College

Ellen B. Fuhr Scholarship for Jewish Women at Hunter College

Ellen B. Fuhr is committed to empowering young Jewish women by helping them navigate challenges she knows firsthand. In honor of this mission, she has established this scholarship with Hillel International to support and uplift future leaders. Eligible applicants must self-identify as Jewish women and attend Hunter College, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and a proven record of leadership, entrepreneurship, or volunteerism within their campus or local community.

Linda Fenner Scholarship

Applicants for this scholarship must be: Jewish, female, Colorado residents, at least 21, and identified as leaders in the Jewish community. The scholarships may be used to subsidize the cost of a young adult program, mission to Israel, national Jewish non-profit conference, or any other Jewish program.

The Sahm/Goldman Scholarship is awarded to Jewish residents of the metropolitan Washington area who have completed at least two years of undergraduate study. Applicants must be studying or conducting significant research or career development in Israel. Priority to applicants traveling to Israel for the first time.

Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago Academic Scholarship Program

You are eligible to apply if you were born and raised in the Chicago metro area, or had one continuous year of full-time employment in the Chicago metro area prior to enrollment, and intend to remain in the Chicago metro area after completing school. Secondly, Are entering an accredited graduate program or are entering your junior or senior year of an accredited bachelor’s degree program in a helping profession on a full-time basis for the full 2023-2024 academic year.
