Hal and Janine Jayson lovingly honor the memory of Hal's mother, Annette Golman Jayson, and his aunt, Frances Goodman Golman who both lived lives dedicated to Judaism. The scholarship is for a Jewish undergraduate or graduate student to participate in academic study in Israel.
Established in memory of Frank Gilford, a local young man who fulfilled his dreams of becoming an Israeli citizen and a member of the Israel Defense Force. This scholarship is for a student who is majoring in Jewish studies in Dallas or studying in Israel.
In 2005, Hilma B. Levy (obm) and Walter J. Levy established a scholarship in loving memory of their daughter, Barbara K. Calick. This scholarship is awarded to students seeking a degree in Special Education, Psychology, Social Work or a related field. The Frank Joseph & Elaine Sara Garron Memorial Scholarship is given to full-time graduate or undergraduate students (tuition-based scholarship). Applicants must self-identify as Jewish, be a resident of the Greater Cleveland area, and have a family household income of $150,000 or less.
A $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a student who will coordinate a program to enhance awareness of topics relevant to Jewish life, culture, or history. The student will receive a program budget to plan, publicize and carry out the program. Applicants must be enrolled at Ohio State with continued enrollment for the following year.
