This $2,000 scholarship is awarded to the most promising student planning a major in Jewish studies, with preference given to students without a background in Jewish studies. The scholarship may also be awarded to senior students for an outstanding thesis and may also cover related costs for selection and publication of said thesis.

For high school seniors, male or female, involved with the North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY), B'nai Brith Youth Organization (BBYO) or the United Synagogue Youth (USY) and headed to college in Fall 2025, we offer the the James Alexander NFTY Scholarship ($1000) and the Hanno Mott USY Scholarship ($1000) and the SAM Alumni BBYO Scholarship ($1000).
For study at Alexander Muss High School in Israel (AMHSI). All Jewish high school students living or attending school in the Greater MetroWest community are eligible to receive a grant of up to $2,000 for study at the AMHSI lasting one full semester or more, and up to $1,500 for study lasting six to eight weeks. Once you are certain of your attendance at AMHSI, please fill out the application form.
The Peter Chortek Leadership Award is available to Jewish high schoolers in San Diego, CA and is an award of $5,400 that students may use towards their undergraduate education.
The Jeffrey D. Sollender College Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school senior in San Diego County who plans to attend a four-year college or university. Applicants must demonstrate outstanding achievement in entrepreneurial ventures or community service, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and have a gross family income of no more than $100,000 per year.
Applicants must be Jewish with high scholastic achievements, be active in Jewish affairs as well as school and community affairs, and have need of financial assistance. Each year a fouryear commitment is made to next year’s recipients. Awardees must maintain high marks not less than a 3.0 GPA.
This scholarship is awarded to two first-year Jewish students actively involved in their local Jewish communities. Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.00, demonstrated involvement and ability as assessed by an Admission counselor, and a willingness to serve on Birmingham-Southern College’s Hillel Student Advisory Board.
The Jack and Harriet Kudine First-Year Student Scholarship will be awarded to three graduating high school seniors preparing to seek a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada. Applicants must demonstrate a record of leadership and/or volunteer service in any aspect of their local community, and must also self-identify as Jewish.
