The Jewish Federation of Nashville and Middle Tennessee wants to encourage Jewish Students to visit Israel. In order to make this possible, the Federation provides incentive grants for Israel programs to qualified student candidates.
The purpose of the Midrasha Incentive Award (MIA) is to encourage graduating seniors from Midrasha to continue their Jewish education following graduation. Students have used it in the past to go to Israel, attend conferences, take courses in Jewish studies in college, etc.
A limited number of grants of up to $2,000 are awarded to chosen recipients who attend local music schools to help with the financial demands of the necessities of life.
These scholarships are awarded to students attending The University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University, Owens Community College and Lourdes University. The level of support is approximately $2,000 per student and is renewable upon review of the advisory committee.
The Bernard Heerey Scholarship is aimed at enhancing Jewish learning and ritual through learning. The scholarship fund will grant $2,000 tuition scholarships to up to 20 students each semester. Students must be enrolled at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (or accepted admission if they are incoming students).
NCJW l LA provides scholarships to those who live and attend school in the Greater Los Angeles area, including Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and Ventura Counties. The Jewish Federation of Greater Naples, Patricia J. Adkins Youth Leadership Award will be given to honor the achievements of Greater Collier County high school seniors demonstrating leadership in their activities at their respective congregation and/or BBYO youth group.
