As Hillel, the world’s largest Jewish campus organization, marks 100 years since its founding, a global centennial fundraising effort has now eclipsed $100M raised to enhance the lives of Jewish college students well into the future.
In the lead-up to Yom Ha'atzmaut, Israel’s Independence Day, a delegation of eight top Hillel student leaders arrived in Israel for a week of high-level meetings with government officials, experiences with Israel’s civil society, and briefings with top geopolitical experts. The trip is in partnership with the Jewish Agency for Israel and Israel Experience.
Today Hillel International announced the co-chairs of the eighth cohort of its Student Cabinet for the 2023-2024 academic year. Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR) and Hillel International announced the launch of a groundbreaking new collaborative partnership to support the emerging generation of leaders who will build a strong and vibrant Jewish future.
Jewish students are facing a steep rise in antisemitism on many of their college campuses. Hillel International, the largest and most inclusive Jewish student organization in the world, is substantially expanding its Campus Climate Initiative (CCI), a comprehensive program to foster a campus climate in which Jewish students feel comfortable expressing their identity free of antisemitism, harassment, or marginalization. CCI, now in its third year, today announced the addition of 12 new campuses, along with five campuses expanding their participation, achieving a new total of 40 campuses nationwide.
Hillel International has selected four young leaders, two in high school and two in college, to receive scholarship awards in recognition of their volunteerism and commitment to their communities.
