Hillel at UNM offers a variety of activities for Jewish students, faculty, and staff in the comfortable, home-like atmosphere of the Aaron David Bram Hillel House located on campus. Shabbat evening candle lightings and vegetarian meals; holiday observances; faculty-student lunches; social functions; retreats; Hebrew, Bible, and special topics courses; lectures and cultural events; community service opportunities; travel; public service opportunities, and inter-faith gatherings are offered. Hillel celebrates Jewish identity and builds leaders. Shabbat meals and social events are popular the small Jewish student population on campus. Hillel has started a scholarship fund for Jewish students.
