Explore University of Florida Hillel

At the University of Florida, Jewish students have every opportunity to thrive—socially, spiritually, and intellectually. UF Hillel is proud to be a driving force in making UF a university where Jewish students can live and learn as their full, authentic selves—surrounded by a vibrant, supportive Jewish community. We understand how important it is for students to feel at home on a large campus. That’s why UF Hillel is more than a building—it’s a welcoming network of caring professionals, peers, and mentors committed to helping Jewish students find connection, purpose, and belonging from their very first day. Each year, UF Hillel brings more than 500 students to Israel, empowers hundreds through meaningful fellowships and internships in Jewish learning, leadership, social justice, and Israel education, and serves thousands of Shabbat and holiday meals. Through these experiences, students explore their identity, build community, and develop the confidence and skills to lead—on campus and beyond. With a full calendar of student-led programs and leadership opportunities, UF Hillel ensures that every Jewish Gator can be part of something meaningful and feel celebrated for who they are. UF Hillel is here for every Jewish Gator, ensuring they’re never alone—and always supported.

Jewish Experience Through Hillel

The Jewish experience at UF is vibrant, empowering, and deeply rooted in community—and UF Hillel is here to help students shape it. Through UF Hillel, Jewish Gators have access to life-changing opportunities beyond campus, including Birthright Israel, our 8-week summer internship program in Tel Aviv, and the powerful Poland Fellowship, which explores Jewish memory and resilience. On campus, students engage in dynamic leadership and Jewish learning fellowships, build meaningful connections through social events and Shabbat and holiday celebrations, and play a central role in shaping Jewish life by creating programs that inspire their peers. UF Hillel also leads campus-wide efforts to educate the broader UF community through Israel dialogue, advocacy, and educational initiatives. Whether you're looking to explore your identity, grow as a leader, or find a welcoming Jewish community, UF Hillel is here to help you thrive.
