What We've Learned
Jewish students at the University of Vermont want to feel supported and find a connection to their growing sense of self, their friends, and the world around them. They want to make a difference in the world and have a successful and meaningful career after they graduate. While in Burlington, they want a space where they can explore their multiple ways of identifying while learning and growing as part of a community.

What We Promise
Hillel at the University of Vermont will delivers support, connection, and community for each of the 2,000 Jewish students at UVM. Every student will be seen, wanted, and cared about.

Why We Will Succeed
Our talented staff team has developed UVM Hillel into one of the best in the country and is now among the top 40 of public schools Jews choose. Hillel professionals use a discovery methodology founded in design thinking to really get to know students for who they are and who they want to be. We provide the resources and support to ensure that every Jewish student will make an enduring commitment to Jewish life, learning, and Israel.

How We Are Successful
We will have achieved our mission to ensure every Jewish student is inspired to make an enduring commitment to Jewish life, learning and Israel when:

  • Our past is honored when students find a personal connection to Jewish ritual and tradition.
  • Our present is vibrant when thousands of students find a place at UVM and in the Jewish community.
  • Our future is bright as our graduates inspire others to give back to UVM and help change the world.
