Explore Allegheny College Hillel
Allegheny is home to over 80 Jewish students and nearly 20 Jewish faculty and administrators and our Hillel is a community-centered pluralistic space where Jewish students can connect with each other and with the Jewish community at Allegheny and in Meadville. A number of supportive alumni and trustees contribute to our continuing success through program funding and ongoing communication. At Allegheny Hillel we know that Judaism means different things to different people so we offer a variety of events throughout the year. We observe and celebrate Jewish holidays. We host educational programs and guest speakers. We create opportunities for our community to have fun and relax together and we pursue justice through social action programs. Through our events, we empower students to explore their Jewish heritage and develop their own individual Jewish identity. It is an exciting time to be a part of Hillel. Every year the number of students who attend our events increases. Dr. Adrienne Krone recently joined Allegheny and she serves as both Assistant Professor of Religious Studies and as Director of Jewish Life. She offers a variety of courses in Jewish Studies and leads Hillel Shabbat services and holiday programs. Hillel provides the support you expect from Allegheny, allowing our students to explore all of their interests and passions. We hope you will plan to join us!
