Hillel International scholarships are for students who identify as Jewish, who are attending or preparing to attend four-year colleges, universities, or graduate programs, and who meet the individual scholarship requirements.

Award Amount: $10,000
Application Deadline: March 10, 2024

The Lilly E. Reiser Undergraduate Student Scholarship will be awarded annually to eight graduating high school seniors or students on a gap year who are preparing to seek a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university in the United States. Applicants must demonstrate a record of leadership and/or volunteer service in any aspect of their local community, and must also self-identify as Jewish.

Renewable for up to three additional school years, in addition to the first year. Not renewable after fourth school year/payment or student’s completion of an undergraduate degree, whichever comes first.

Award Amount: $3,000

Jules and Gwen Knapp believed deeply in the power of higher education to transform the lives of individuals and families, and have dedicated this award to that pursuit. Top applicants will have a current GPA of 2.5 or higher, and a demonstrated impact of leadership, entrepreneurship, and/or volunteerism in their local or campus community. To qualify as a first-generation student, the applicant’s parents/guardians must not have completed a four-year college or university degree.

Renewable for up to three additional school years, in addition to the first year. Not renewable after the fourth school year/payment or student’s completion of an undergraduate degree, whichever comes first.

Award Amount: $3,000
Application Deadline: March 10, 2024

The Jules and Gwen Knapp Campus Leadership Award is given annually to a full-time student seeking a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university who demonstrates extraordinary leadership abilities and has a minimum GPA of 2.5. Applicants must self-identify as Jewish and commit to attending at least one Hillel event in the upcoming school year. Previous attendance at Hillel events is NOT a requirement for this scholarship.

Renewable for up to two additional school years, in addition to the first year. Not renewable after the third school year/payment or student’s completion of an undergraduate degree, whichever comes first.

Award Amount: $4,000 recurring
Application Deadline: March 10, 2024

A newly announced $4,000 renewable Hillel scholarship for eight undergraduate first-years, sophomores, and juniors at Baruch College, Brooklyn College, College of Staten Island, Hunter College, John Jay College, Lehman College, Queens College, and the City College of New York.

Award Amount: $5,000 (one-time award)
Application Deadline: March 1, 2024

The Lilly E. Reiser Graduate Student Award is given annually to a Jewish student who will be attending graduate school in the United States in the upcoming school year. Students must demonstrate academic excellence and make a difference in their community. Applicants must have completed or be on track to complete their undergraduate degree by June 30, 2024, and be attending graduate school in the fall of 2024. Applicants must self-identify as Jewish. Previous attendance at Hillel events is NOT a requirement for this scholarship. There is no requirement for the concentration of study.

Award Amount: $5,000 (one-time award)

Jordan and Elise Levin intend to pave a pathway for college students to celebrate and participate in Jewish life. The Jordan and Elise Levin Scholarship for Jewish Enrichment and Education is a $5,000 one-time scholarship. Awards are available to three exceptional current high school seniors, gap year students, college first-years, sophomores, and juniors in good standing with their current academic institution. Top applicants should have a GPA above 3.5, demonstrate financial need and identify as Jewish. All scholarships may be awarded for study within North America.
