This Hillel serves: California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo; Cuesta College Hillel of San Luis Obispo is the Jewish home for students at Cal Poly and area community colleges. Our mission is to enrich the lives of Jewish students so that they may enrich the Jewish people and the world. We create inclusive spaces for Jewish expression, meaningful relationships, and deep personal growth rooted in Jewish values. SLO Hillel brings Jewish life to campus with Shabbat and holiday dinners, speakers and classes on Jewish history and tradition, and discussion groups and Jewish food. Hillel also has its own off campus space, known as the SLO Bayit, for Jewish social programs, dinners, and student residents.
