Explore Hillel BC Society
Hillel BC promotes Jewish life on campus and beyond, providing a warm, welcoming environment where students, between the ages of 18 and 30, are able to grow religiously, culturally, socially and ethically. We enable young Jewish adults to explore their Jewish identity and relationship with Israel in a safe, pluralistic and inclusive community. Our programs and events on multiple campuses across BC reflect the diverse interests and needs of our members, build valuable leadership skills, and help to create a long-term impact in the Jewish community and beyond. We celebrate Jewish holidays, learn together, work on social action projects and provide an opportunity for robust conversation about Jewish issues and Israel affairs in an atmosphere of openness and respect. Hillel reaches out to a wide variety of groups on campuses, partnering with faculty, staff and other student clubs to promote topics that are mutually relevant. In addition, many Hillel programs are developed in collaboration with other Jewish community organizations. Whether it is one of our Shabbat dinners, the Jewish Learning Fellowship (JLF), our holiday programming, weekly kosher Hot Lunch, or Lunch and Learn, Hillel BC has something for everyone, reflecting the diverse interests and needs of Jewish students in BC.This Hillel serves: University of British Columbia; Kwantlen University; Quest University; Simon Fraser University; Langara College; University of Victoria; Emily Carr University of Art and Design
