Explore University of Southern Maine Hillel

Southern Maine Hillel serves students at the following colleges: University of Southern Maine (USM) University of New England (UNE) Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Maine College of Art (MECA) At each campus, our Hillel creates a safe and enriching environment for students who are interested in Jewish life. We offer a Jewish perspective in interfaith dialogues, respond to issues of anti-Semitism, and provide vibrant and dynamic links to the broader Jewish community for students. Examples of past programs include: a Klezmer band benefit dance, students and community members joining together to build a Sukkah on campus, a second Night Passover Seder, and a Challah French Toast Brunch. We are a welcoming place for people of all identities, life experiences, backgrounds, and beliefs. All events are open to the public, and we are delighted to welcome all.
