Explore Ohio Wesleyan Hillel
Ohio Wesleyan Hillel supports the Judaic experience of our Jewish students while also providing a rich and dynamic interfaith approach to intellectual and spritual growth of all students throughout their years on campus.
Associate Chaplain and student rabbi Jessica K. Shimberg works to empower student leaders in OWU Hillel and to provide support for vibrant Jewish opportunities on campus. Interested students can be connected with area synagogues and events in the central Ohio Jewish community. Shabbat services occur twice per month with our Associate Chaplain and more often depending on student interest and participation. Holiday services and programming is also offered as well as film screenings and speaker events.
Chaplain Jon Powers and Associate Chaplain Jessica Shimberg provide counsel for Jewish students who wish support in personal matters or a friendly ear in explorations of their Jewish journey.
