Explore University of Iowa Hillel
Iowa Hillel has been supporting the Jewish community at the University of Iowa since 1926. Our two floor building is just one block from campus and students use the space on a daily basis coming to hangout or study. Downstairs we have a game room, as well as the chapter rooms for both Alpha Epsilon Pi and Alpha Epsilon Phi, a Jewish fraternity and sorority. Additionally, downstairs is used as a practice room for our students who have formed a band, Citrus Sunday. Upstairs, we have a sanctuary, a library, a lounge, a dining area, as well as a kosher kitchen. Shabbat dinner is our largest weekly event, but we put on various socials, Tikkun Olam volunteering events, Jewish learning opportunities, and general programming to keep students engaged year-round. Additionally, we offer a summer and winter Birthright trip with Iowa Hillel. Students have the opportunity for leadership through being a member of the student board or joining one of our committees: Shabbat Squad, Challah for Hunger, or Hillel Beautification. Iowa Hillel is a very pluralistic and welcoming community, and we hope you join the Hillel Hawkeye Family!Undergraduate Enrollment
