Rutgers Jewish Awards for Outside Research or Study

This awards enables students to pursue research related to Jewish Studies at institutions other than Rutgers, in the U.S. or abroad. Applicants must be a sophomore, junior, or senior with a major or minor in Jewish Studies at Rutgers. Students at Rutgers in MA or PhD programs doing Jewish Studies research are also eligible.

Ruth and David Musher Fellowship

One (1) fellowship will be awarded each year to a deserving scholar engaged in graduate level, post-doctoral, or independent study to conduct research in the JDC Archives facility in New York or Jerusalem. The amount granted will be $2,500 per fellow per year.

The Ruth and David Musher Fellowship is for regional research focused on Israel and North African Jewish communities. Four fellowships will be granted to deserving scholars engaged in graduate level, post-doctoral, or independent study to conduct research in the JDC Archives on JDC's work in Israel or North Africa.

Study for a one year semester of M.A Program at the Tel Aviv University Overseas program. There is also a new intensive 6 week summer school in rabbinic literature. Depends on financial need. All courses taught in English and may be eligible for full credit at home universities.
