This scholarship is given yearly and is open to currently enrolled students who are majoring or minoring in Jewish Studies or a Combined Major in Jewish Studies and another discipline at Northeastern University.
The Behrman Campus Leadership Award is being awarded to two full-time students seeking a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university who demonstrate extraordinary leadership abilities and have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Applicants must self-identify as Jewish and commit to attending at least one Hillel event in the upcoming school year. Previous attendance at Hillel events is NOT a requirement for this scholarship.
The Elie Wiesel Center and the Leo Baeck Institute in New York created the undergraduate essay prize to acknowledge the best essay written by an undergraduate enrolled in ANY undergraduate program at a North American college or university on any topic related to the history and cultures of German-speaking Jews.
This scholarship will be offered to transfer students of Jewish descent.
Student enrolled in a specialist or Major Program in Jewish studies on the basis of financial need. Academic merit will also be considered.
Awarded to an outstanding undergraduate student enrolled in a program in the Centre for Jewish Studies on the basis of academic merit.
To be awarded to an outstanding student essay (graduate or undergraduate) in Holocaust Studies written for a U of T course or under a U of T faculty member's supervision during the current academic session.
Awarded to an outstanding student enrolled in the Specialist or Major Program in Jewish Studies.
Awarded to an outstanding student in the area of Canadian Jewish Studies. If no suitable candidate can be found in the area of Canadian Jewish Studies, the scholarship may be awarded to an outstanding student in another area of Jewish Studies.
Jewish Free Loan offers interest-free loans to university students facing the financial challenges of paying for higher education. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a steady source of income and demonstrate a need for the loan, and be permanent residents of Los Angeles or Ventura counties.
