The Blanche and Irving Miller Scholarship Fund provides $1,000 scholarships to deserving and qualified students enrolled in accredited colleges or universities who are pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in professional fields. These include, but are not limited to, law, medicine, hospital administration and journalism.
Minneapolis-based Jewish men and women ages 16 years and over are eligible to apply. Families with a total annual household income of under $120,000 will be considered for financial assistance. Israel programs must be at least three weeks in length, sponsored by an organization with a strong educational component.
The Isadore & Molly Boroff Israel Scholarship is available for Jewish men and women ages 18-30 who plan to participate in an Israel program that lasts at least two months.
The scholarship program is designed to help applicants in financial need participate in trips to Israel with priority given to first time trips. Previous family trips or early childhood experiences living in Israel do not disqualify youth from applying.
NCJW l LA provides scholarships to those who live and attend school in the Greater Los Angeles area, including Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and Ventura Counties. This award is given to women or men enrolled in or accepted to a degree program in nursing. Some units toward the degree are preferred, but not required.
The Meyerhoff Center has several scholarship funds for students in the areas of Jewish studies and Israel studies. Most but not all of these funds are earmarked for students who will travel to and then study at an Israeli university.
The Meyerhoff Center supports Jewish studies and Israel studies scholarship both on campus and abroad. Majors and non-majors planning to study at an Israeli university are eligible for scholarships. To learn more, visit the application site and click on “For Other Students."
The Jewish Federation of Lee & Charlotte Counties will award scholarships through this Education Scholarship Program to Jewish residents who are pursuing post-secondary education. Recipients must be under 30 years of age and priority will be given to full time students.
The Greater Miami Jewish Federation offers need-based assistance for Miami-Dade County residents, ages 15-26. Funding is one time only, and awards are based on need and length of an approved Israel program, which must contain Jewish educational content.
