Joseph Horowitz Travel Grant

The Joseph Horowitz Israel Travel Grant is available through the Community Foundation of the Jewish Federation of Lee and Charlotte Counties. The grant may be used for travel to Israel to participate in programs that are volunteer or educational in nature.

Judith and Oscar Wax Scholarship

The Fund provides a scholarship to an outstanding young Jewish woman who grew up in the Capital District to enable her to enrich her Jewish learning through study or travel. The recipient must be enrolled in a program that has the purpose and focus of enriching Jewish knowledge. (Capital District refers to Albany, Schenectady, Troy, Saratoga or Glens Falls and the immediately surround area.)

JUF Chicago Israel Scholarships

The Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation provides need-based scholarships for college students and young adults (up to 28 years old) to participate in an approved Israel Experience program. The purpose of these scholarships is to strengthen Jewish identity and commitment to Israel and the Chicago Jewish community.

L.J. Craig and Alice Craig Engineering Scholarship

The scholarship was created to support Jewish students at the University of California, Berkeley in the College of Engineering. A scholarship of approximately $3,000 will be awarded to 6-10 students who fit the criteria and fulfill the wishes of the Craig Family. All scholarships are for a single year and students may apply the following year. Preference of at least one of the scholarships will be given to a student studying abroad in Israel. Any student interested in applying should complete the online application by April 23, 2019.

Laurence A. Weinstein Midrasha Incentive Award

The purpose of the Midrasha Incentive Award (MIA) is to encourage graduating seniors from Midrasha to continue their Jewish education following graduation. Students have used it in the past to go to Israel, attend conferences, take courses in Jewish studies in college, etc.
