The Robert Samuel Siegel Scholarship Fund honors Robert Siegel, a man remembered for his lifelong commitment to volunteerism, activism, and charitable humanitarianism. A 1952 cum laude graduate of Miami University, Robert served as a Navy Lieutenant during the Korean War before embarking on a distinguished 50-year career as a CPA and Financial Vice President. Known for his sharp intellect and leadership within the Illinois CPA Society, he was a dedicated mentor and a strong proponent of higher education. This legacy continues through his three children, who all followed in his footsteps by graduating from Miami University.
To honor his memory, this $5,000 renewable scholarship supports Jewish students enrolled full-time at the Miami University of Ohio within the Farmer School of Business as accounting or finance majors. Applicants should demonstrate extraordinary leadership abilities; strong candidates will have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicants must identify as Jewish and apply through Hillel International. While recipients must commit to attending at least one Hillel event in the upcoming school year, previous attendance at Hillel events is not a requirement.
Renewable for up to two additional school years, in addition to the first year. Not renewable after the third school year/payment, or the student’s completion of an undergraduate degree, whichever comes first.
