Awarding college scholarships to 65 Jewish students this fall, totaling over $350,000.

Hillel International, the world’s largest Jewish campus organization, today announced that 15 new students will be receiving 2026 Student Scholarships, adding to a cohort of 50 previously named and renewing scholars. The organization will award more than $350,000 across 17 scholarship categories to the seventh and largest cohort of recipients in the program’s history, made possible through a variety of designated gifts.

Hillel International’s scholarship program highlights the organization’s commitment to building vibrant Jewish life on campus and to making college more affordable for students. Scholarships are awarded based on several merit-based factors, including academic excellence, community service, Jewish connection, first-generation college enrollment, and family need. Incoming scholarship recipients include students who have built vibrant, local Jewish communities; founded nonprofits to support healthcare research, families in need, and substance abuse victims; and volunteered in significant and meaningful ways.

“All Jewish students deserve the opportunity to pursue their ambitions, and I am confident that these talented students will accomplish great things with support from these scholarships,” said Adam Lehman, president and CEO of Hillel International. “In the first several years of this program, we have already witnessed how investing in emerging student leaders translates into stronger Jewish communities on campuses nationwide. I can’t wait to see what this group achieves.”

Hillel International’s scholarship program launched in 2020 with $16,000 awarded to four students, and it has since achieved remarkable growth. With scholarships totaling $900,000 in cumulative disbursements in the coming academic year, the program will surpass $1 million in total funds awarded by 2027-2028.

The majority of Hillel scholarships range from $3,000 to $18,000 annually per scholarship and are renewable annually until the student graduates. Hillel scholarships support a wide array of students, from incoming college first-years to graduate students.
