Free speech, peaceful protest, and the respectful exchange of ideas are fundamental to a college education. Unfortunately, what is happening on too many college and university campuses today is not that. Join us in calling on college and university administrators to stand up for Jewish students by signing this petition.

Right now, Jewish college students are experiencing unprecedented levels of antisemitism on their own campuses from protests and encampments that are violating university rules, and that have become threatening, destructive, and in some cases, even violent. These protests are also disrupting the basic functioning of these universities, depriving students of the ability to attend classes, prepare for finals and otherwise gain access to critical areas on campus. And, with graduation ceremonies scheduled to take place in the coming weeks, students and parents – from all backgrounds – are concerned this cherished milestone will be negatively impacted or even canceled.

Hillel International is calling on thousands of other students and supporters to urge university presidents and college administrators to do better — to step up and take action right now by signing this petition to create a safe learning environment for all students. This petition calls for university leaders to: enforce their rules; stop harassment, intimidation, and threats; hold classes as scheduled; prepare for graduation ceremonies free of disruption; and invest in a healthier campus environment.
