The Dina Abramowicz Emerging Scholar Fellowship is for post-doctoral research on a topic in Eastern European Jewish Studies. The work should lead to a significant scholarly publication. The fellowship includes a $5,000 stipend for the holder to conduct research at the YIVO Library and Archives for two to three months.

The Rose and Isidore Drench Memorial Fellowship is dedicated to doctoral or post-doctoral research in American Jewish history, with special consideration to scholars working on the Jewish labor movement. These fellowships are for a period of three months of research at the YIVO Library and Archives and carry a stipend of $10,000.

Scholars come to Cincinnati to conduct in-depth research at the American Jewish Archives and to take part in the academic community of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.

The Baumgardt Fellowship provides grants of up to $7,500 for Ph.D. candidates working on topics such as ethics, Wissenschaft des Judentums, or the modern intellectual history of German Jews. Applicants must be affiliated with an accredited institution of higher education and currently be enrolled in a Ph.D. program.

Fordham University’s Center for Jewish Studies and the Center for Jewish History offer a joint short-term research fellowship in Jewish Studies for scholars whose research focuses on Jewish-Christian relations and who wish to conduct research based on materials housed at the Center for Jewish History and Fordham University.
