Jack Schoel Scholarships

Awarded annually to undergraduate or graduate students on the basis of high academic achievement, sustained engagement with youth via regular involvement or leadership in Jewish educational programs, and completion of one or more approved Jewish Studies course(s). Awarded by the Faculty of Education’s Committee on Student Affairs on the recommendation of the Coordinator of the Jewish Education Programs.

Jack W. and Shirley Berger Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is given to a high school senior who is an active volunteer with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Applicants must be Jewish, be a resident of the Greater Cleveland area, have a family household income of $150,000 or less, take a course in comparative religion, and attend a four year college or university.

Jack W. and Shirley Berger Scholars Award

This award was established to assist and encourage students entering college to attain academic excellence. In order to qualify, students MUST: exhibit financial need, reside in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Portage or Summit Counties, be a high school senior, and have a minimum 3.8 high school GPA. This award can be renewable.

Jacobs-Kaufman Scholarship

The Abigail Jacobs-Kaufman Scholarship awards $500-$1,000 annually to 1-2 full-time Judaic Studies majors or minors who are pursuing a degree in Judaic Studies, and demonstrate financial need to cover tuition. Applicants will be selected on the basis of academic performance and demonstrated financial need.

Jacobson Jewish Community Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to Jewish college students whose primary residence is within south Palm Beach County (Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Highland Beach). Students must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0 to receive funding.

Jaffe Family Community Service Scholarship

The Jaffe Family Community Service Scholarship awards a high school senior who demonstrates leadership and volunteerism in the Jewish community. Applicants must be a Jewish resident of the Greater Cleveland area, have a family household income of $150,000 or less, and plan to or currently attend a 4-year college or university.
