The Solomon and Jennie Hurvitz Scholarship awards a superior undergraduate student, attending college in Ohio, and preferably with a focus in science, social studies, humanities or arts. Applicants must be a Jewish resident of the Cleveland area and have a family household income of $150,000 or less.
In memory of grandparents Solomon and Rebecca, grandchildren Vicki, Dennis and Steve Topletz created this scholarship to enable students to obtain higher education and become successful and caring citizens.
To honor his late parents, Ben J. and Mary B. Solomon, Donald L. Solomon established a $4,000 renewable scholarship. This $4,000 scholarship is dedicated to undergraduate needs of those attending college in Northwest Ohio.
This scholarship awards a student who may not qualify for academic scholarships, but overcame a major obstacle in his or her life. Applicants must be a Jewish resident of the Cleveland area, have a family household income of $150,000 or less, and plan to or currently attend a four year college or university.
This fellowship was established by Dr. Sorrell and Lorraine Chesin, supporters of JDC who have deep roots in higher education. One (1) fellowship will be awarded each year to a deserving scholar engaged in graduate level, post-doctoral, or independent study to conduct research in the JDC Archives.
For undergraduate college scholarship requests, the JJCF will assistance toward tuition, room and board (if living away from home) and/or books. Students must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0 to receive funding
Applicants must be residents of Springfield, East Longmeadow, Longmeadow, Wilbraham, Hampden, Agawam or West Springfield. Scholarship recipients are chosen based on a combination of academic performance, financial need, and community involvement.
A gift from the St. Louis community will provide grants to teens and young adults to help them experience Israel. Administered by Jewish Federation of St. Louis, the Israel travel grants are $1,500 for a year-long program, $1,000 for a semester-long program, and $750 for a short-term program.
