Up to $2,000 is available per academic year for up to THREE students. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.3 overall and be enrolled as an undergraduate at Ohio State with continued enrollment for the following year. Applicants must be a major or minor in Hebrew, Yiddish, or Jewish Studies.

Reva and Sanford Lipson Student Support Fund

The Lipson scholarship provides support for students studying the history and culture of the Jewish people. Up to $2,500 can be awarded to TWO students. Applicants must be enrolled as an undergraduate at Ohio State with continued enrollment the following year. Applicants must have completed at least one Jewish Studies course.

George and Emily Severinghaus Beck Fund Scholarship

Financial support will be given to two students who wish to attend the summer program at the Vilnius Yiddish Summer Institute in Lithuania. Up to $2,000 is available for up to TWO students. Award given to undergraduate and graduate students at Ohio State.

Financial support is available for study at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Preference given to students attending Hebrew U for the entire academic year. Award is contingent on acceptance to Hebrew U and Ohio State approval of student travel to Israel. The Lester & Annette Goldschmidt Hillel Scholarship Fund was established to honor students at the University of Oregon. Students must be a Jewish resident of Oregon, attend the University of Oregon, and demonstrate both financial need and merit. Students may apply each year.

Fleischer Award at the Centre for Jewish Studies

The first award will go to a student in the Jewish Teacher Education Program – priority will be given to students in their entering year. The second award will be granted to a graduate student in the Jewish Studies Program. The third award will be given to a student enrolled in the BA in Jewish Studies who demonstrates academic merit.

Martin Lockshin Award in Jewish Studies

The Martin Lockshin Award in Jewish Studies will be awarded every other year to a graduating student in Jewish studies with the highest combined grade average for the last two undergraduate years. The award will be divided equally among the qualifying candidates.

Molly Eisenberg Memorial Award in Judaic Studies

This prize will be awarded annually to a student who has completed one year in the Judaic Studies program and who exhibits talent in his/her chosen discipline and demonstrates financial need.
