Hecht Family Memorial College Scholarship Fund

The Hecht Family Memorial College Scholarship Fund is offered to outstanding Jewish high school seniors to help fund their freshman year of college. Awards are based on financial need, academic performance and community service. Applicants must be residents of the Milwaukee metropolitan area.

Lilly E. Reiser Graduate Student Award

The Lilly E. Reiser Graduate Student Award through Hillel International is given annually to a Jewish student who will be attending graduate school in the U.S. in the upcoming school year and who has demonstrated academic excellence and made a difference in their community. Applicants must have completed or be on track to complete their undergraduate degree by June 30, 2025, and be attending graduate school in the fall of 2025. Applicants must self-identify as Jewish. Previous attendance at Hillel events is NOT a requirement for this scholarship. There is no requirement for the concentration of study.

Oscar Waldan Scholarship

Any Jewish student who has been accepted or is currently studying at a full-time watchmaking school in the USA is eligible for the Oscar Waldan Scholarship. Prospective students may also apply, with the understanding that the scholarship is contingent on their enrollment at a full-time watchmaking school. The scholarship is awarded every April. Awards up to $5,000 are available.

Fred and Ellen Lewis Fellowship

One (1) or two (2) fellowships will be awarded each year to deserving scholars engaged in graduate level, post-doctoral, or independent study to conduct research in the JDC Archives facility in New York or Jerusalem. The amount granted will range from $2,000 to $5,000 per fellow.
