Lilly E. Reiser Graduate Student Award

The Lilly E. Reiser Graduate Student Award through Hillel International is given annually to a Jewish student who will be attending graduate school in the U.S. in the upcoming school year and who has demonstrated academic excellence and made a difference in their community. Applicants must have completed or be on track to complete their undergraduate degree by June 30, 2024, and be attending graduate school in the fall of 2024. Applicants must self-identify as Jewish. Previous attendance at Hillel events is NOT a requirement for this scholarship. There is no requirement for the concentration of study.

Oscar Waldan Scholarship

Any Jewish student who has been accepted or is currently studying at a full-time watchmaking school in the USA is eligible for the Oscar Waldan Scholarship. Prospective students may also apply, with the understanding that the scholarship is contingent on their enrollment at a full-time watchmaking school. The scholarship is awarded every April. Awards up to $5,000 are available.

Jeffrey D. Sollender College Scholarship

The Jeffrey D. Sollender College Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating high school senior in San Diego County who plans to attend a four-year college or university. Applicants must demonstrate outstanding achievement in entrepreneurial ventures or community service, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and have a gross family income of no more than $100,000 per year.

Avoda Award

Applicants must be Jewish with high scholastic achievements, be active in Jewish affairs as well as school and community affairs, and have need of financial assistance. Each year a fouryear commitment is made to next year’s recipients. Awardees must maintain high marks not less than a 3.0 GPA.

Reiser Undergraduate Scholarship through Hillel International will be awarded to eight graduating high school seniors preparing to seek a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university in the United States. Applicants must demonstrate a record of leadership and/or volunteer service in any aspect of their local community, and must also self-identify as Jewish.

Jules and Gwen Knapp Campus Leadership Award

This scholarship is awarded to a full-time student seeking a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university who demonstrates extraordinary leadership abilities, and has a minimum GPA of 2.5. Applicants must self-identify as Jewish and commit to attending at least one Hillel event in the upcoming school year.

Susan L. Lichter Israel Scholarship Fund

Each year, two scholarships are available for $2,500 each to two local high school students. The scholarship application includes the submission of an essay. All essays will be reviewed blind by a review committee.
