Hillel Graduate Student Award

This award is given annually to a Jewish student who will be attending graduate school in the U.S. or Canada in the upcoming school year who has demonstrated academic excellence and made a difference in their community. Applicants must have completed or be on track to complete their undergraduate degree by June 30, 2023, and be attending graduate school in the fall of 2023. Applicants must self-identify as Jewish and commit to attending at least one Hillel event in the upcoming graduate school year. Previous attendance at Hillel events is NOT a requirement for this scholarship. There is no requirement for the concentration of study.

Jules and Gwen Knapp believed deeply in the power of higher education to transform the lives of individuals and families. Top applicants will have a current GPA of 2.5 or higher, and a demonstrated impact of leadership, entrepreneurship, and/or volunteerism in their local or campus community. To qualify as a first-generation student, the applicant’s parents/guardians must not have completed a four-year college or university degree.
