For the second year in a row, Hillel International joined BBYO and 3,500 Jewish teens for BBYO International Convention (BBYO IC), the largest BBYO event of the year, which took place over  President’s Day weekend in Dallas, Texas.

BBYO, a pluralistic movement for Jewish teens, engages 70,000 Jewish high school students across 50 countries. At BBYO IC,  students heard from inspiring speakers, deepened their leadership skills, served the local community through volunteer projects, and celebrated Shabbat together.

Staff from Hillel International connected with 1,000 students and spoke to them about all that campus life has to offer for Jewish engagement, learning, and leadership development. As these active Jewish leaders transition from high school to college, Hillel is ready to be part of their journey!

From the return of Hillel’s X-treme inflatable laser tag course to the Hillel Puppy Party Pop Up event with puppies from White Rock Dog Rescue, the Hillel-sponsored events were a big hit.

Throughout the weekend, Hillel also gave out a variety of fun hats from the Hillel Hat bar, and hosted a senior lunch where students learned about Hillel International scholarships and Birthright Israel trips.

“It was such an amazing experience getting to meet Jewish teens from all over the world at BBYO IC! Seeing Hillel there made me excited to think about college and continuing my Jewish journey. It was great being able to talk to Hillel staff members at the convention to answer any questions I had about college and start thinking about my future.” – Izzi Osman, High School Junior (’24), Kansas City

We continue to be inspired by the passion and excitement of this next generation of Jewish leaders and can’t wait to support them as they arrive on campuses around the world in the next couple of years.
