Meet Sasha Joseph

When Sasha first went to Hillel as an undergrad, people asked her if she was visiting a friend or interested in converting. They made assumptions based on the color of her skin. Sasha understandably didn’t go back until a new Hillel professional reached out to her and welcomed her into the community.

After getting her master’s in human relations, Sasha said “it clicked” for her that she could combine her love for working with people and her love for Judaism by working at Hillel. Now she’s an Engagement Associate at San Francisco Hillel.
